Your Stage : Transmedia Guru by Ray Biddle

Hello Ray Biddle are you an Expert on Transmedia? Have a question about how to fund the entire spectrum or is it best to do it project by project? Where are the Angel Investors and how to find them?

I work in the field but since it changes minute to minute, hard to be an expert.

I would go.project by project.

Angel investors seem few and far between for entertainment endeavors nowadays and finding them is harder. I do searches on a monthly basis.

Okay thanks Ray, I thought Guru meant expert...there is a website for Angel Investors not sure of your location, some want to be found.

Best study for Transmedia is Film Dark Knight. People were playing Interactive games in real life time (find a clue in a phone box) and makeup artists were springing out of vans to paint “Joker” smiles on kids faces in parks USA etc etc.....Long before bums were on seats watching the actual film itself. If you don’t have a Hollywood budget make best use of social media.

Debbie, go back way further. A really strong example is The Flintstones.

Hi will check out Flintstones. Only just found time to re hook with this thread ....Also sometimes Transmedia is executed AFTER the film/Tv show. E.g. Dexter "The Interactive Victim" files. Whereas with above mentioned films the interactive campaign web was BEFORE film. Transmedia is the way forward, more important than big studio bucks, is the characters AND story. If the public want to follow the characters ......they will....but they have to be Genuine, Relevant, and Credible to whatever the targeted audience is.
