Greetings and good day to all you creative folks. It's great being part of this wonderful community and I wish all of you supreme luck in all your endeavors. I have already done a standard introductory post here on the Stage32.com discussion boards but I wanted to do a more proper introduction, and before I start I don't write this in arrogance or from a place of cockiness, this comes from a place in confidence forged over years of hard work on my craft, it comes from pride in my stories and the body of work I've put together, and it comes from a place of spirituality in where through prayer and belief one can manifest one's own destiny....that being said, I'm the guy you're going to be reading about one day....
My first big hit is going to be an international action thriller that makes 'Enter the Dragon' look like a game of patty cake. This will spawn sequels, a video game, graphic novels and maybe even spin-off movies for some of the characters.
Next they'll be packing the theaters for my completely original 'super hero' movie, featuring a set of characters with abilities unlike any other characters and facing unique enemies.
All while my feature films are being made I'll starting work on several different television shows including an animated sketch comedy show, an action/sci-fi show, a poker based reality show, and a suspense/thriller show with a villain more diabolical than Moriarty and Hannibal Lector combined.
It's about this time the masses will start discovering my name, people will start realizing, "Oh wow, this movie I love is created by the same guy that did that show I love." I'll do my heist film.
I'll start my own small production company to work on pet projects like my biopic on a former Major Baseball Player and a small budget independent film set in my homeland of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
All the above screenplays and pilots are completed or near completed, at this point in my career maybe I'd do my western or WWII film next, both of which are already outlined. Or who knows how many more ideas I'll have come up by then and new passion projects I've found.
Eventually I will step back from my empire of films, television shows, production and management companies and retire peacefully, maybe teaching a creative writing workshop occasionally just to keep my mind sharp.
So when you see my name in those credits; WRITTEN BY: TOM SANFORD --just remember, it was because I put in the work, believed in myself, and made it happen through action. You can do it too.
Thank you anyone who sat through my self-aggrandizing ramblings there but I truly know every word of it to be true. What I haven't found yet is the agent or manager who is going to take the journey with me, be a friend and business partner in the wondrous process of making great art. So if you are, or know, an agent or manager looking for a writer with a plethora of great material send them my way. I am currently researching management companies in preparation for a trip to Los Angeles in April but if I make a connection here first all the better.
Have a wonderful day everyone and best wishes.
