Hi everyone, I'm an award-winning actor from Ireland and I have just moved to Los Angeles after being awarded a Green Card.
I originally trained as an actor at a UK drama school and I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Screenwriting.
You can view some of my leading film and television work in my showreel at www.vimeo.com/268192194 and I recently wrote and directed a short comedy based around cryptocurrency which can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQdH1EloyWw
I won Best Supporting Actor at the Sydney Independent Film Festival for my work in the US feature film 'Imperfect Sky' and my upcoming work includes the thriller feature film 'Killers Within', which had its debut screening at this year's Berlin Film Festival.
My previous leading film and television credits include the EMMY award winning 'Vikings'; BBC drama productions such as 'Waterloo Road' and 'Casualty; TV3's 6-part television drama 'Deception', in which I appear alongside the TONY AWARD winning Jim Norton and a list of award winning short films including Hunters Fall and Timeless Man, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
My IMDB page can be accessed at www.imdb.com/name/nm3929508 and you can find additional links and information at my website www.samlucassmith.com
Delighted to be here and I hope to have the chance to work with some of you in the near future.

Great Reel!
Maybe your future will include projects that depicts how the Chinese and Irish workers built the Transcontinental Railroad - noteworthy since the 150th anniversary will be happening in May 2019!
Thank you guys, great to connect. I wasn't aware of the anniversary! I know so little about the history there. I'd love to check out a documentary on the subject.

Oh wow. I have a few more films on my bucket list thanks to you. Your work is fantastic. Congratulations on the green card. (wishing there were emojis here so I can use the party happy face) I certainly remember that scene in Vikings. Great to have you here in our Stage 32 family.
Very cool Sam
