I've recently written a screenplay titled "Miss Universe". It is a Pixar style animation. I was wonder if you all knew of the best way to get it read to make sure it's as put together as it can be.
I agree with Laura. I'm a script proofreader/editor but you don't need this service for your first script. As Laura advises, you'll be making a lot of changes and learning a lot before you're ready to submit your script to anyone. Once you're ready, and there's a good chance it won't be with your current script, then that's when you'll need a proofreader. If you like, contact me then and we can discuss.
Hallo Eric! If you're open to getting paid notes, can I recommend this guy? http://old.reddit.com/user/Mydogateyourcrumbs Based on examples of his notes (you can find a dropbox link at https://old.reddit.com/r/Screenwriting/comments/63wzu5/script_reading_se...), he seems very thorough and smart. It might be worth messaging him to see if he's still reading and what his current rates would be (it was $50 at the time).
Let me know if this helps you out. Cheers!
Thanks Daniel, I'll look him up!
Thank you, Laura. You brought up so things that I should take into consideration.
Is there anyone who proofreads. Being my first script, I want to make sure my formatting works.
Okay cool. I used Writer Duet, so I'm pretty confident in the format. So I guess I shouldn't be worried about that part!
