About Pierre

I am a screenwriter, proofreader, script editor and script consultant.

I provide proofreading and editing services to a worldwide client base. I fix not only typos and formatting issues, but I also make suggestions whenever I see anything obvious, and that includes holes in story or character development issues.

I’ve been writing since 2003 and am an active member of various public and private screenwriting and film communities (including moderating the now defunct Trigger Street). I have previously consulted for Truce Films, Aangry Aardvark, Macken Films and Rapid Fire Entertainment, providing analysis and notes on short films, TV pilots and feature length scripts. One of my client scripts is presently in the final round of the DC Shorts competition and it is the very first script ever written by that writer.

Feel free to contact me if you’d like to discuss any of my services, my process or what I can do to help you achieve a
better script.

Testimonials

"Pierre did an outstanding job on my screenplay. He goes above and beyond what a proofreader is supposed to do. He stays in constant contact letting you know exactly where he is up to and he suggests small things to change to make it easier to read and understand. NO proofreader does this! I will be using his services again"
- Dene Stark - Sydney, Australia (Multiple Short and Feature Screenplays)

“Pierre did an awesome job reviewing and editing my script in such short notice. He explained each of the edits he made and provided great suggestions before I approved the final draft. I strongly recommend him for all screenplay editorial services”

“Just wanted to let you know that "Patrcia's Independence" was selected into the DC Shorts Film Festival competition. I received great feedback from the reviewers. They really like the script. I wanted to thank you so much for assisting me with the editing process. I'm amazed that this was my first script I ever submitted to receive great reviews. “
- Felicia Johnson – Washington DC, USA (Short Screenplay – Patricia’s Independence – Top 6 DC Shorts film festival 2017)

“Pierre provided a flawless, personalized proofreading and editing service. He put the utmost care and attention into every detail of my screenplay. This is a ‘must do’ for any writer serious about his craft and I couldn’t have asked for a better editing service. Besides editing and listing every misspelling, glitch and incorrect formatting making my screenplay error-free, Pierre enhanced sentence structure and pointed out anything that seemed odd or out of place. We had an excellent communication via email (discussing scenes, story, characters and ideas) until we were on the same page – no pun intended! He also provided excellent feedback on the content and answered every question I put on the table. Pierre goes far beyond what his prices suggest. He sincerely cares about filmmaking and the writing community and bringing projects to a professional level. 100% satisfaction! .”
- John Giaccone – Newton, KS, USA (Feature Screenplay – Rearview Mirror)

“As a new screenwriter leaning the trade I felt that script coverage was necessary for me. I am extremely impressed with Pierre and his coverage.
He kept me involved with all changes and suggestions for improvement while maintaining my story while not encroaching on my idea or hijacking the narrative.
Not only has he helped me improve the story overall but he has assisted in improving my own knowledge of script writing and I can't recommend his services enough.”
- Anthony Lucas – London, UK (Feature Screenplay – Catherine’s Treasure)

“Pierre Langenegger has not only been a tremendous resource for giving feedback on everything ranging from story concept to in-depth analysis, but makes for a great script reader at very reasonable prices! I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of fresh eyes and an extensive knowledge base of literary format, language use and a comprehensive understanding of today's demands within the film industry!”
- Rome Mubarak – Los Angeles, CA, USA (Feature Screenplay – The Introspect)

“Pierre is a true professional. He asked the right questions to polish my short film script. The script is now professional and I no longer feel embarrassed sharing it with talent. I believe the quality of the script has attracted better actors to the project. A well polished script will make the shoot a lot easier to make a reality.”
- Dale Frohman – USA (Short Screenplay - Dollhouse)

“I have been using professional coverage throughout the years for my screenplays, but they all gave recommendations that were not specific and were a ‘one way’ feedback, as I couldn’t have a conversation with the reviewer to explain what I was trying to achieve.

So I decided to look for a proper script consultant that I could interact with and could tell me exactly what was good and what was bad about my work.

I am happy I have found Pierre Langenegger, who has been clear on the service he provides since the first email we exchanged. He read my script and gave me “general" notes that were in fact very specific, and pointed out where my script was working and where it was needing rewriting.

In the time we exchanged emails he has been professional and precise in the questions he asked about my story, and I can see now, after the script has been edited and proofread, that although this process is more expensive than the ‘coverage’ offered online, it pays off a thousand times more.

My screenplay is now easy to read and much more visual than before, so much so that I was confident to send it to few international screenwriting competitions.

I am very happy about the final result, as it is exactly what I was aiming for. I was a bit worried that being half globe away, time could have been an issue, but Pierre delivered notes in a timely manner and was very honest on when the final product was going to be ready.

I will definitely contact him again for my next project and I highly recommend Pierre’s notes, editing and proofreading services.”
- Martina Camatta – Aberdeen, United Kingdom (Feature Screenplay – Ave Maria)

“I can see why you come so highly recommended. Pierre provides both proofreading and editing service in one package for a very reasonable price. He has a keen eye for detail. I highly recommend his service.”
- Gisli Bogason – Keflavik, Iceland (Feature Screenplay - Portal)

“Thank you in particular for the analysis notes. You are a great help to me, and I plan on using your services again”
- Leonard Mowry – High Springs, FL, USA (Feature Screenplay – Funeral Assistant)

“thank you so much for much patience. Hope you stay in touch and keep the friendship. We will work together again”
- Tugume Benie – Kampala, Uganda (Feature Screenplay – The Incisive)

“Great notes! Pierre knows his stuff. No detail gets past him. He’ll make you feel great about your script”
- Abigail Bruley – Philadelphia, PA, USA (Feature Screenplay – Main Remains)

“I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to give me such an amazing feedback. Everything you said was incredibly helpful and opened my eyes to a lot of things I never would've realized on my own. Including the typos I was sure I had corrected already, haha!

This, without a doubt, will help me become a better writer and I'm so grateful for that.

Thank you, again! ”
- Andrea Celis – Mexico City, Mexico (Short Screenplay – Motors)
