All-in-one for projects

I am not only a CEO of a company. I plan to distribute films and produce as many films as I can. Within my network, people find me to ask my help. What I can do is the crowdfunding and blockchain-based distribution. My hobby is the 3D design, web design and IT project management. So I never got bored. Life is full of wonderful things and we have to just open our eyes to notice things. My projects have creative sides and I always get inspiration from my enviroment and from people around me.

Csaba, welcome to stag32. Can you please expand on what your blockchain-based distribution model is?

Csaba Halasz

The network I started is an ERC20 compatible blockchain -based fundraising and distribution channel. We also have a rewarding system for registered users of our website. Our own cryptocurrency is hadfyx. Anyone can upload, so wannabe filmstarts can get discovered.

Philip Sedgwick

How would this work for a short film?

Csaba Halasz

This is a kind of database based on P2P protocol and we have a separated way to distribute datas and use marketing for promote it, through blockchain. We use nodes (like torrent seeders) and the messaging is through our distributed network and expanding database. There are several types of films we can handle. Main purpose is to make all the filmmakers well-known and credited. Curators are registered users and they are the promoters as well. So all of our people get paid and credited. Popular films (short and feature length, are welcome).

Philip Sedgwick

Hi Csaba, Thanks for your reply... I have nuts and bolts questions really... the above is techie stuff, but for filmmakers with real world skin in the game... time, sweat, agony and oh yeah, money, how does this get monetized? If a filmmaker wants exposure and to show a film for free, there's YouTube. But in the business reality of film...

What is required in terms of deliverables?

What is the security of the film once a person "orders" it?

How is the film "rented" or "purchased?"

How are filmmakers to receive revenue?

How can the filmmaker support the film through their social media platforms to generate subscribers?

Thanks!

Many talents. Welcome!

A marketing network does almost the same job what hadfyx does. We, at hadfyx use the blockchain technology to promote films and we have several options to purchase or rent a film. Main purpose is the promotion . We grow continuously and we (including film producers) promote each others films and/or contents. On this way people inspire each other as well. An expanding decentralized network, like hadfyx has more potential than it seems. I think of financials and many other creative and business realted things. A friend of mine called hadfyx a marketing-in-marketing system, which is true. Social network marketing combined with blockchain marketing and referral marketing is always a winner. I (we) do it for talents because we believe that everybody is good at something.

Still have no idea how this works. Tech mumbo jumbo....

Deliverables?

Film security?

Cost for rental/purchase?

Payments to filmmakers?

Specifically, step by step, tell us the sign-up process, the business of being part of your blockchain and how we money.

Philip Sedgwick

An example of what I mean can be seen by going to IndyOh.com. As filmmakers we know what we must provide technically, what we get, and what the exact terms of participation are.

If the purpose is promotion only, how is your system better than YouTube (other than the alleged security)?

In distribution, many/most filmmakers do aspire to make some of their money back so they can get on with their next film.

A term sheet would be ideal, as would specific technical details for deliverables. A sign-up page. Something other than "blockchain is what's happening."

Not trying to be difficult. But to me this is business, not serving the data claims of tech entities.

Csaba Halasz

Yes, you are right, Mr.Sedgwick. This system requires an explanation and I was not clear enough. I apologize. So, the promotion is the main purpose, but it's not the only part of the system. Film distributors afraid of failure and keep new film projects risky. A network of promoters who are crowd investors as well can decide which film they are gonna invest in. Once a film is uploaded or a preview is uploaded, the members of the network can decide wheter they want to watch the movie or they want something else. E.g.: you produce a movie. Preview is done and uploaded to hadfyx.tv (under construction) and in the same time, a notification starts to members, who has access to the website through blockchain and/or normal website access. They are registered users, subscribers and viewers ( all-in-one) and they pay for watching movies on this way. When they confirm the viewing of preview and the like it, th pay for watching, so the film will be prefinanced. If they promote it, then they will get compensation in return. If they bring more viewers (registered users/subscribers) then they get commission and even the rental of the film is free (compensated ).

Thanks, Csaba. I understand the vast potential of the blockchain network and can see it's inherent value. Do you have a breakdown on the terms? What will you be requiring for the upload? Close captioning? Translation considerations? Subtitling. This will be global so I reckon all those factors will be relevant.

Keep me posted. When you have terms/site please feel free to direct message me. When you have the site up and running, I want to be one of the first checking it out!

I have one short wanting a home presently and another in festival run. Following that, massive exposure to potential viewers is the name of the game.

So am I also understanding that this can function as a form of crowd-funding, and/or meeting investors (similar to Slated)?

Warren Eig

Producing is not the problem, it's getting the funding secured to make the film. That's always the hardest endeavor. Everything else is the fun!

Csaba Halasz

When production requires investment. the first thing is to try to predict the financial result at the beginning. Profit and Loss analysis is essential. Market research can give us a new hope, but numbers are more reliable indicators. For this purpose I developed a software and I combined it with the blockchain. Numbers will never lie. So, in our community the distribution and finance is secured and investors will not lose their money. Our marketing is lifelong and that's why the royalty is continuous. Films are periodically re-promoted and we can reach more people. Every new community member will get an 'update' of the films' menu as well as the recent ones. Equal promotion to all films.
