This is a movie pitch from me to write this interesting series where a great global good can be achieved by using the global fan-following of recently ended Avenger series:
Avengers turn Achievers : SDG2030
A Marvel comics type movies series where the Avengers turn Achievers.Each hero commits to achieving one exclusive Sustainable Developement Goal by 2030.
OR
A whole new series named' The Achievers' where each Sustainable Developement Goal has one dedicated hero and She/he motivates the whole World explaining /showing all the pros and cons of that goal as well as bottlenecks and then goes ahead and removes those bottlenecks to achieve them by 2030.

Each one of those 17 goals is laudable, and, I believe, achievable if humans would work together. However, as a "story" (comics, movies, series), it won't work. Perhaps as a documentary about how these goals came about.

Mr. Ellis, Sir, you've hit the nail on the head.But there is one thing where I differ ie that exactly is the job of the Entertainment professionals/Creatives to turn these into exciting /entertaining stories which the billions of people on the planet are attracted to watch to get the awareness/motivating message through. These billions which are needed on board to make these Global Goals a success, most of them don't watch documentaries. So perhaps maybe an exciting movie on how they came about also showing the more than partial success of earlier such endeavours as shown in the 'Committment' video I attached in my profile. Why wait for Marvel Studios, sir? Hook up with a freelance comic artist/illustrator, write it as a comic series, have the artist draw it (working hand in hand to craft the world of 'The Achievers'), self publish--then pitch that to film studios. You may get a bite!

Hmmm. The UN Agenda 2030 paired with the Avengers. Anyone interested in irony should read my comments in the Game of Thrones thread. ;?)
Jean, there was no clear cut agenda defined in the Game of Thrones which allowed for that irony. But with the Global Goals its very very clear where we are going and the partial success of Millennium Development Goals shows that it isn't just a dream but is actually achievable. https://youtu.be/o08ykAqLOxk
fyi - I wasn't actual referring to the show, but to a lengthy comment I posted on a thread about it. A comment germane to Agenda 2030.
It was your comment on that thread( which I found out and read) I was referring to which had a video clip reference on how the GOT was hushed up in its last season without a proper closure to all the beautiful story arcs that were built up meticulously in the previous 7 seasons.

I've been researching these matters for well over 20 years, so it's a passion of mine, and I had a lot to say. :) I'm sure your intentions are good, btw, like some others who are pushing this agenda. However, there is much more here than meets the eye. It has to do the the philosophy of those who established the UN in the first place. They were spirit-channeling Theosophists - and the UN was founded by "Lucifer Trust" - later changed to "Lucius Trust". But make no mistake, those pushing for Agenda 21, which morphed into Agenda 2030 after meeting with rightful resistance by the truly "woke" folks, are self-proclaimed "Luciferians." And while superficially this seems like an innocuous freedom-based philosophy, when you study the actions of those in power who profess it, it is anything but. Please don't take my word for it though, do your own due diligence. Everything I just said is part of the historical record. On that note, I don't have the time or inclination to debate the matter. Especially since we each are entitled to our own opinions, just not our own facts. As they say "the truth is out there" and if truly you seek it, you will find it.
I believe not in a few people but the force that created the Solar system and the Earth and humans in it. Yes fire can destroy us but in a controlled way it serves humanity. Yes nuclear energy can destroy us but if used to create electric energy it serves us. Similarly I don't try to look at the negatives of everything but the positives it has achieved and can achieve. I have debated all the matters related to UN and its functioning you touch upon at the appropriate fora but ultimately believe it has done more good than harm in the 74 years of its creation. One simple thing I put forward in one of my thesis was that UN is not democratic in true sense as if number of people make democracy then India and China should have the maximum clout both in the UN voting system and Security Council. And a simple solution could be counting the population of Nauru(the smallest country) to be one vote and dividing the whole population of the World by Naurus population to have the real democratic effect.The UN was made by the countries who suffered the maximum in the World Wars and those countries will never loosen their stronghold over it. But then one can understand that in the World of real politic not everything can be idealised. It's what's in the realm of possibilities that humans can aspire to without waiting for godot to come along and do everything for us. And the UN as that video in my last post as well as its history of other achievements shows that it does serve humanity just as fire and nuclear energy. Regards.
