About Juhani

Multi-optioned screenwriter. Quarterfinalist in the Stage 32 TV Pilot competition in 2019. Having been a professional film journo attending global movie junkets for over 25 years, I switched to editing lifestyle publications in my native country of Finland in the early years of the new millennium. Since I've always wanted to write for the screen and television, I managed to secure legal representation in L.A. I'm now writing full-time, with a maritime horror movie script called Stowaway (for Hollywood director Marcus Nispel) and a TV series (esoteric subject) in active development. Have developed original material with such Hollywood luminaries as Paula Wagner, Richard Taylor (CEO of WETA), Renny Harlin and ex Stanley Kubrick producer Jan Harlan.

Unique traits: Visionary storylines and intriguing characters with unique point-of-views. Particularly stoked by sci-fi, horror, history (real and alternate) and espionage.
