Flashabacks-

Hi there,

Hope you all are well. I need some opinion. I believe these both options are correct since I have seen them both. But I want to make sure what is preferred.

After the DREAM SEQUENCE ENDS, or MEMORY FLASHBACK ENDS or FLASHBACK ENDS as transitions- Should we write BACK TO THE SCENE or is it understood and we simply start the new scene?

Please share your opinion.

Thanks in advance.k

I use BACK TO SCENE (I cut THE). But hey, that's just my pov.

both work on the page. The key is format consistency throughout the script. Same slug headings, same named characters, etc.

If the flashback takes place in the middle of a scene you would write BACK TO SCENE, not "the scene." If you are starting new scene and not going back to the same one you were in you would just start a new master scene heading. However you can write END OF FLASHBACK at the end if you just want to make sure it is clear.

okay, thanks a lot of guys.... it helps. And yeah, NO 'the scene'- that's my mistake... Only 'BACK TO SCENE'... Best. Cheers. K
