Imo Wimana Chadband

Hey. Nice to meet you, yep, you reading there. Thanks for passing through my profile. The name’s Imo Chadband, but, you can also refer to me in the world of writing by my middle name ‘Wimana’. I am among other things: an Author, Screenwriter, Songwriter, and Poet, hailing from the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago, located in the Caribbean.

My love for writing sprouted from my love for music, and the way musicians composed their words to bring forth meaning and convey emotion to the listener. I began to dabble with crafting words of my own, and hence forth realized my ability to create imagery and emotion through poetry…

Fast forward to the present, and here I am to date, published 3 Poetry books (can be found in the ‘Extras’ below), and currently getting ready to publish my 4th. I also ghost-write music for up and coming hip hop artistes and I am a content curator and journalist for .

While these accomplishments as a creative has surpassed what initially started out as a simple social media page to share my words some years ago, I am aiming to take my craft even further, breaking into the film industry as a screenwriter. Currently I have finished my 1st script, "Catch 22" (Action), my 2nd script, "Affiliation" (Drama), and working on my 3rd, "Beyond The Woods" (Horror). As a member of the Stage 32 community, I intend to solidify my place as a screenwriter and use my craft not only to add as a creative to the industry, but to in turn use my success to better the lives of those less fortunate and assist in making the dreams of other creatives become a reality. What’s success if you can’t help others attain theirs right? Each one help one I always say. The world needs more love, and less selfishness
