What is the best way to find someone that can turn your short script into a short film? Would it be smart to just post in the Filmmaking lounge to find someone?
When I was shooting my short film for school I found a professional cinematographer on www.mandy.com. She even worked for free in exchange for transport costs, etc, and did an amazing job on my project too.
Pretty sure you can find an entire production team on there if you looked. As for finding people on here? No idea, I'm pretty new and would like to know that myself.
I'm with the make yourself crowd.on this. You say it's a short - ain't no money in shorts - so make it yourself. There is a whole lot of learning, experience and basic education in making it yourself. Network locally to find & develope a crew, or join someone else's crew. You're in Germany - where's your audience? You may have language difficulties right out of the box if you try to make in the US, Australia. India, China... wherever.
Agreed with all, make it yourself. If you don't have much money, go back to your script and adjust your story regarding your budget. When i'm writing a short as a project, i'm gonna shoot, i always ask myself how can i make this story works without spending much. So when i'm writing i already have in mind, ok this is gonna cost so let's change the location for example and so on. That's where you become more creative. Same thing for features.
i have the same problem, have a screenplay for a short movie, it is 31 pages long, but i live in Romania, and i want my movie to be done in America if possible, so i have no idea what sold i do :)
well when i write the sceenplay i made it like the things happend in America, but if needed i think we can change that, and to slimmed down not sure what to say about it, if needed i guess it may be possible to try
I mention this for 2 reasons: a) So you have chance to make it yourself - in Romania. The shorter it is, the less it has in it, the easier to do yourself. b) For festivals and competitions, usually they are after around the range of 8 to 10 minutes, for shorts. I'm not saying you can't have a 30 min short, you can have whatever. Just saying for festivals and competitions, etc. the preference is for a film not to be too long.
can we please talk on the chat Sir ? i believe there are a few thing that i yet do not know, i wold love to do it myself but first i thing that there are things that i still need to find out for myself somehow

You can post it here on Stage 32 on your bio or...

I would say make it yourself. The process will teach you more about film writing than anything else you will do.

Yes, I agree with the rest of the comments. Best way forward is to make it yourself!

Lonel, does it have to be done in America? Also, does it have to be 31 pages, can it be slimmed down?
