Audio Drama recording using multiple microphones

As I look to build my Audio Drama universe, I'm trying to figure out the best way to record voices from multiple microphones into one computer. What sort of equipment do I need in order to plug in my USB microphones so that each voice is its own track? Note: I may not be using the right terms but I'm hoping someone can decipher my lame attempt at explaining the problem. :-)

Each person would have a microphone run to a mixer, each mic with its own mixing control. You won't be able to separate all the channels since it gets mixed down together when you run it to the computer. If you really want to have better separation, you would run the mics to a multi-track recorder like a Nagra 8 track. If you only need 2-4 tracks, you can get away with a lower end recorder.

Of course...

You need an interface with multiple lines in. Then you plug in each microphone to a different line in (most likely XLR or jack, it can't be USB), and then you record in a multitrack DAW (like Pro Tools). It may be a bit complicated and expensive if you are not a sound engineer with already the appropriate gear. It'll be easier and cheaper to record one person at a time.
