Hi, My name is Erick Jimenez, i am a College student majoring in Biology trying to get into Veterinary school, but also trying to make films about bullying, depression, suicide prevention, war, domestic violence and abuse prevention, rape prevention, drug addiction, Gang Violence and so much more.
Current project “Beautiful World” about a boy growing up being bullied from elementary school through high school and losses his mother at the age of 9, his father at the age of 13 and his girlfriend at the age of 17. This leads him to become depress and have suicidal thoughts. He falls into a state of limbo unit he finally sees that the world is beautiful when you find people who love you and care about you. Love is what cure a wounded heart.
This film is a Autobiography/Fiction/ Documentary. You will see how he handle the bullying he faces at school and how he handle his depression leading him to have suicidal thoughts and thoughts of revenge against his bullies. The film will be rated R. I am very passionate about this project, hopefully it will be made into a feature film soon.
I am looking forward in meeting people who are in the film industry whether they have been in the industry for years or are just getting into it. As of now I am looking to built a team who is as passionate as I am and want to see this project be the best film that it might be nominated for an Oscar ( that’s a way out there dream but not impossible).
For now all I want to do is make the opening scene of the film and submit that as a short film into film festivals. Even though it’s 2 minutes long I foreshadow the three main tragic events that happen to Erick and because I will use the song “Middle of the World” by Nicholas Britell it will get the attention it needs to move on to the next step. I have contacted MRD the right holder to Nicholas work unfortunately due to not having any footage to show them they were not able to let me use his song.
The art work is from a Russian artist name Anton. It is a commission art work that he did for me. He called this pieces "when the Sky cries". This is a scene from Act 3 "To be Hurt" and the scene is called "Why did you do this to me?"This is Erick girlfriend suicide scene. Their are two more acts to my film Act 1" Too Soon Too Late" taking place in Elementary school and Act 2 "Alone Forever" taking place in Middle School.
