Erick Jimenez

College student majoring in Biology trying to get into Veterinary school, but also trying to make films about bullying, depression, suicide prevention, war, domestic violence and abuse prevention, rape prevention, drug addiction and so much more.

Current project “Beautiful World” following Erick from Elementary school through High school showing you what depression looks like. You will see how he handle the bullying he faces at school and how he handle his depression leading him to fall in a constant state of Limbo. Film will be rated R. I am very passionate about this project, hopefully it will be made into a feature film soon. This film is an autobiography/ fiction/ documentary.

If i am able to built a team and have everything ready, i plan to shoot the opening scene on November 25-29, 2019 . I have Thanksgiving break at my school so it will give me time to make this scene. once I have that done next step is to get the music rights to the song "Middle of the World" because I will use that song for the opening scene. I wrote the script specifically for that song. once that is done I can submit it to film festivals as a short film and hope for the best.

I am looking forward to meeting people who are in the film industry whether they have been in the industry for years or are just getting into it. As of now I am looking to built a team who is as passionate as I am and want to see this project be the best film that it might be nominated for an Oscar ( that’s a way out there dream but not impossible). For now all I want to do is make the opening scene of the film and submit that as a short film into film festivals. Even though it’s 2 minutes along I foreshadow the three main tragic events that happen to Erick and because I will use the song “Middle of the World” by Nicholas Britell it will get the attention it needs to move on to the next step.

That is my plan for 2019 as well as passing my classes with As and Bs so I can graduate next semester.
