Here I'm using a mini slug below the main slug. This approach is useful particularly when you have more than one scene inside the main locale, or in this case the police station. I think you're only supposed to use DAY or NIGHT rather than AFTERNOON, etc. I think the reason has to do with lighting.
Personally I use a slash, but minor detail like that really doesn't matter. I see all kinds of things in the scripts that I edit but unless it's really wrong, and inconsistent, I tend to leave it.
