Hello fellow 32ers!
It is a pleasure to join fellow creatives on this journey where all of our ships (collectively) sail in the same direction: the Future. After many frustrating years trying to adjust to the New World Order (no opportunities, no jobs), I arrived at the decision to forge ahead on my own terms.
Onward & Upward.
Years ago, I launched my motion picture firm, The MoonStar Film Odyssey (www.moonstarfilmodyssey.com; on FB / TW / PIN / INS / LI) and have been developing over 2 dozen film projects that I am writing, and will direct/edit/co-produce to be shot on film and lensed in 2.40:1 'scope format. Each project--of which 2 are completed (as part of my MFA theses)--already have social media pages & websites active on the web.
For anyone interested, please feel free to follow my Facebook/Twitter pages (@youssefverse & @themoonstarfilmodyssey.com) for constant updates.
My current (and side) project is THE HANS GRUBER EXPERIENCE -- a satirical fantasy positing the concept that charismatic DIE HARD villain Hans Gruber and his mercenaries--while in the process of ripping off the Nakatomi Corporation--also put on a live jazz performance for their captive audience... since they also happened to be a talented jazz ensemble! I appended a vinyl album concept that was the genesis of this project.
The website (www.thehansgruberexperience.com) and accompanying social media pages are already active as well. The next phases in the project will include a faux-infomerical for the "lost" vinyl album and a mockumentary on this little piece of pop culture phenomena--essentially accusing DIE HARD of being a one-sided docu-drama that told only half the story. Yes, for real. (wink!) Oh--and DIE HARD is one of my favorite movies of all time, so this is really a tribute to a masterpiece.
Anyway, thank you for your time reading this and I look forward to connecting here at 32!
Cheers,
YSK

That sound like a great project - a fan film.
I hope that's what you intend: an exercise in writing/directing/producing, and don't hope to actually make a commercial film.
I don't believe there's any way you could get the rights to the characters or anything associated with Die Hard.
But it's a great concept! :)
I do appreciate your compliment!
It's definitely a fan film project--think of it as one of my calling cards into Hollywood. If it performs well, I am considering doing a mockumentary--much like "Searching For Sugarman".
But I am also developing another 3 vinyl concepts along with 2 dozen film projects, so I gotta move it along!
Please feel free to follow on the social media platforms for updates & publications.
All the best!
