Apologies, maybe not the best place for this post. But could any tell me the best place/lounge to pitch a SF TV series on stage 32 (apart from the professional pitch sessions). Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
The best thing to do James Austin McCormick is to do the research. Find the names of all the producers who are accepting pitches and do thorough research to see who does SF. This is usually the best route. Best of you
Hey, James! If you have a trailer or video pitch, you could post it to the Your Stage Lounge: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/promotion Truth is, you can pitch to anyone at any time - I used to pitch to passengers when I drove LYFT. So, if you have met people and kept in contact with them, you could direct message them and pitch them.
That being said, I feel like you may have to clarify what constitutes as "best". Are you looking for the pilot to be greenlit by a production company to help greenlight the series? Are you looking to pitch the series to a network? Do you have a verbal pitch, a written pitch, or both? You can use our free Pitching Guidebook to assemble it: https://www.stage32.com/sites/stage32.com/themes/two/pdfs/happy-writers/...
Is your pilot ready to be read? If your pilot is ready, then you could have Coverage by an Industry Reader done and should it receive a double recommend, it would be circulated to the executives we work with automatically (no need to pitch).
it does- thank you Karen, actutally, the pilot is written (and episode 2) and the series is all fully mapped out, log line, synopsis, series breakdown, a bible, overview of subsequent series etc...
I'd also suggest getting involved with the Stage 32 Writers Room. They do weekly sessions together and a monthly Pitch Tank with producers. Shoot Jason an email at J.Mirch@stage32.com and tell him that I hooked you up with a free month. In fact, if anyone in this thread would like to check it out, shoot Jason an email as well and reference this post. Wishing you all the best with your projects! Cheers!
Hey James Austin McCormick - I know you have already heard from a few members of the team to reach out to me, but here I am too. I look forward to hearing from you! j.mirch@stage32.com
James Austin McCormick The Writers' Room also has weekly pitch practice sessions among members in case you don't want to go straight into pitching a producer!
Thanks for info @Jason Are the available readers only up for 60/90 mins and over, OR particularly with shorter story streams, can we submit 30 min? (If it’s “closed ended”, shorter episodes, it could be less is more for pitch.)
Hey Debbie Croysdale! I emailed you earlier directly from j.mirch@stage32.com - Excited to be connected directly with you! You can certainly submit a 30-min (or 30+/- page script) for review through Industry Reader Coverage. You can also look at Short Script Coverage which is exclusive to Stage 32. That is up to 20 pages. You can find that here: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=38

Have you looked over the consultations? Take a read to see what they are looking for and hope something matches.

@Karen Re comment above. Please what is email/web address for “ReaderCoverage” who might give two scores for further circulation? Thanks.
