Everyone says It's the result that matters the most. But It not about the result, It's about the journey and the memories we collect while making a film.
When I see the last cut of my film, I just remember those people who worked with me, the experience that I got while making the film, those memories, those happy times.
Every form of Art has its own ability to make you happy. Photography/Film Making make me grateful. Every shot that I took, means something to me. Every Cut I make while editing means something to me. Every shot that I took, had a story.
Share your Crazy/Amazing story. What does Film Making mean to you?
( I love this image because it's my birthplace. It has a story because that's where I was born. This Photograph means something to me )

What a beautiful way to put it... :)
My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. If you'd like to learn more about myself and the Stage32 Team, we have an intro blog: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Meet-the-Stage-32-Team Nice to meet you and welcome to the community!
Ooo, great prompt for a conversation! I love it! I remember this debate in one of my film theory classes. For those who were more about the aesthetics of film, they didn't understand that a film's value could increase based on the value placed on the context of the film (i.e. if you knew someone in the film, if you worked on the crew, if you saw BTS that informed your opinion, etc.). While I love the process, and I see that value, I think what's noteworthy is that if _others_ see the connection of process + result, then we end up with a greater impact across the board.
I’m sure you’ve already discovered the Filmmaking Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing), but I'd love for you to post in the Cinematography Lounge as well! Maybe you start a conversation about how you balance your technical and artistic process? https://www.stage32.com/lounge/cinematography
Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time. Cheers!
