Stage 32 Monologue workshop with Alysia Reiner (Orange is the New Black)
Thrilled to have our Stage 32 mentor Alysia Reiner teach a one on one monologue workshop for our Stage 32 actors. Today we learned the 3 A's - Awareness, Acceptance, Action and so much more. What were your favorite take aways?
such a wonderful experience!!! Her sage advice, her obvious talent, her love of other actors, her kindness and generosity of spirit, her positivity....all so wonderful. Felt very fortunate to work one on one with her. her direction/notes were spot on. And thank YOU Amanda for moderating.
My pleasure Anthoula! You did great! I love putting together the best education for our community. ps- make sure your Stage 32 profile is filled out so we can see your headshots and work when you're networking on here!
Thank you. I didnt realize my profile was incomplete. Actually Im not really aware of how the Stage 32 community works. Perhaps we can chat offline about it?
That was a great session. It was really valuable to see Alysia working with the actors. Well done to both of you and thanks to Amanda for moderating. This was my first real experience of Stage32, so I need to explore more and fill out my profile too.
Thank you for this workshop! It was so great to do the monologue, and the tips Alysia gave were both informative and realistic - so I am walking away from this feeling energized instead of overloaded. And thank you Richard Osborne for your kind words!
One way to start could be to drop in on the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting), scroll through, and see what conversations are already in play! Don't be afraid to comment, it's really the best way to connect!
