Hey Creatives. Taking RB's challenge to introduce myself. I began writing songs (and poetry) with my guitar as a kid. I later wrote children's books, then young adult novels. My writers group took a screenwriting class and I was absolutely hooked!
I'm an environmental/marine geologist (by day) where I get to write reports (albeit technical). As a scientist, I love the structure and succinctness of screenwriting. My favorite books are "Save the Cat" and "Story."
I bought "The Script is Finished, Now What Do I Do?" and was getting emails from InkTip but Stage 32 is the real deal! I just booked a meeting and review of my screenplay, The Year of Jubilee, with a Universal producer looking for inspirational stories. I'm excited!
I'm very new to social media. Nice to meet you!

You go girl!
Welcome BL Gabriel , Always like to meet technical folks who write screenplays. I'm a civil engineer by day myself. Seems you are well on your way. If you haven't yet check out The Writers' Room where you can meet fellow writers and learn even more about the craft of screenwriting. Highly recommend you reach out to Jason Mirch Director of Script Services (j.mirch@stage32.com) for more insight on screenwriting, Stage 32s Script Services and The Writers' Room (he leads the group).
Hi Bl. I agree, the opportunities to gain real access to executives is tops here at Stage32. Their webinars and courses are also amazing. Good luck! keep posting about your journey in the screenwriter's lounge! I'm in the Writer's Room myself, maybe I'll see you there!
