Animation has become more diverse than ever in that not only are the big guys developing and producing content, but small guys like myself are as well.
And seeing and hearing unrepresented voices adding to the mix a new aesthetic and perspective has me more excited now than ever about the industry.
I check out a wide range of stuff from the streamers, mostly family fair since that is my genre. I just caught Wish Dragon, which a fun, well made film. Luca from Pixar on Disney+ is a solid effort and the Mitchells vs the Machines on Netflix was a pleasant surprise.

Hi Nassma, like Bob stated there are a ton of smaller studios/ creatives getting into the mix for sure. I like to see what GKids is representing and has on their slate.
I personally just watched the latest updated Masters of the Universe: Revelation - which if you were a fan of the 80s series you might dig it. I couldn't remember much as this is a continuation story but I like how they pushed story away from the standard Saturday morning stuff. Plus the designs are fantastic along with the animation from Power House.
What have you been watching?

Mostly on YouTube, but Facebook has a ton of animation groups for nearly every type of modeling/animation/rendering software out there, so I get a lot via those groups as well. I work in Blender, so there is a lot of interest from around the world.

Welcome to the group! The greatest part about animation is that it’s evolved in so many ways. What was once an isolated system made to be shown before a theatrical release to a medium with infinite possibilities. And with the internet a lot of talented artists are busy at work. And streaming services like Hulu and Netflix are starting to expand as well. I have an open mind when it comes to animation. Recently watched and reviewed America: The Motion Picture on Netflix.

I mainly watch Animation on Netflix and PBS. Movies like "Madagascar" and "Chicken Run" (other clay animation movies also). Shows like "Clifford the Big Red Dog" and "Curious George."

I liked (and I still like) some cartoons from the 90's, 80's or older.
One of my favorite animated television series in the childhood was "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (1987).
I don't like the look of the newest "Teenage Mutant Turtles" series.
This is also available for other remakes ("Voltron" is another example). In my opinion, some of the older cartoons are better than their remakes; like the older ones were better designed. I didn't study very much this...it's just my view after watching a trailer or some screenshots from those animations.
I think there is room for smaller studios, if they come with quality content.
I like animations as "Ice Age", "Madagascar", "Sing", "The Secret Life of Pets", but I think "Masha and the Bear" is not from a very big studio and it looks very good too.

Netflix, mostly - just recently Masters of the Universe as a straight-up support-watch for Kevin Smith. They made some choices, and I got to watch them. Moving on.
But I've really enjoyed KIPO and the Age of Wonderbeasts and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Essentially, Netflix and Blue-ray. I have a soft spot for the 80s and 90s anime and anything made by Studio Ghibli. Recently, I really enjoyed animated series like Beastars, Castlevania, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
