I really need help trying to get my foot in the door. I have years of experience within film, television, radio and theater productions. I really aspire to be a screenwriter, producer, filmmaker, director and podcaster. I have written over thirty screenplays, currently reworking on an old script of mine, but I really need help with finding the right crew to collaborate with. I really love working with people and telling stories and I hope that we can collaborate. Please help me find a way to get in the door. And also, please email me at josiahbridgeman3@gmail.com if you’d like to collaborate.

Try doing your list in reverse order and you may find success.
Podcaster, then direct some short films, this would make you a filmmaker, if you help other do the same, you will be a producer, this could lead to screenwriting.
Only the size of projects will vary.
Great idea. Do you know anyone who can assist me with a podcast? All my friends are busy and I’m not having any luck trying to make my dreams come true.
Go to the apple podcast site. They are simple to set up. Your phone can record good enough audio. I have been involved in a few.
The quality that comes with h cash is barely noticed. Speak close to he microphone.
It use to be difficult, but it is getting easier.
Thank you
I tried sending my works out to directors, screenwriters and other professionals for years and no one wants to help me. I’m re editing an old script I’m working on right now, but I need help making my scripts better. And I’m not Bud. My name is Josiah.
I’m trying my best here. Like I said, I need help working on my script and making it better. I need to fix one to make it better and then work on the others to make them better too.

there's too much "I" and "me" than there is "we." Why would a stranger offer their connections to help you?
Josiah - DEARLY BELOVED seems to be a personal family drama. This might make a good project to self-produce, but it'll be hard to sell anyone else on producing it. What else do you have?
I’ll send my other scripts out
You can copyright a script for $45, paid to the U.S. Treasury. No one is ripping you off. Then you can share your work with anyone in the developed world. If its not worth $45 of your own greenbacks, its not worth anyone else's time, methinks.
Don’t we all, Josiah

"The worst vice is advice." I am not an industry pro and I can't tell you how to break into the industry. Like you, I've been asking around, but I always get unique answers, leading me to believe there is no checklist of goals that ends with "Congrats, you're in!" No two birds can fly the same path, but they can land on the same branch.
Another thing to consider is that things are changing every day. Before social media, nobody had a follower count (obv); nowadays, nobody takes you seriously unless you have a ton of followers.
One thing that has always been a consistent piece of advice, in any branch of the entertainment industry, is networking. "It's not what you know, it's who you know," has remained true.
All that is to say, my advice: Keep being you, keep doing you. Keep getting better and improving and keep putting yourself out there. One of the awesome things to come from social media is that when someone tells you you're wasting your time, you can always click on their profile and find out if that person really knows what they're talking about.
Best of luck.
Thank you Albert

Josiah - Do you have any scripts that aren't family dramas? If so, why don't you post one to your profile page?

Hi Josiah Bhola Hillaire. Congrats on getting so many scripts done. Have you pitched them to anyone? Have you entered any reputable contests? Have you gotten quality script coverage? If you want to get noticed you have to get your work out there. Believe me if I had 30 scripts completed I'd be pitching virtually every week. One thing about this platform is that it provides all the tools you need to be successful from networking with fellow writers to pitching to industry executives. It's just a matter of putting yourself out there. Good luck.

I suspect our friend Josiah is worried about "someone stealing his ideas" so he isn't letting anyone read his scripts. That's why copyright is your friend, Josiah. Also, free tip - If someone does make something like what you wrote, do nothing until the project is about to be released, to maximize your chance of getting a quick settlement.
