Well, that was awkward. Got a DM from a 'producer' and 'creative executive' from L.A. asking for my resume. Ever the skeptic, I ran into a dead-end on IMDB . So I google searched his (fake) profile pic & guess what I found: "If you are on Stage32 and are approached by an Executive Producer Named Ima Fraud or you get a email from ImaFraud812@gmail.com, it’s a scam don’t engage. It’s not safe." I wanted to believe, but this clown got my hopes up for nothing. Pretty sure I'm not the only one. Don't let some random scammer yank your chain, folks. Be safe & do your due diligence.

They wanted me to email them my contact info & resume. Classic signs of an identity fraudster.

Tim, I know they will instantly change their details and try again. But there is no harm is sharing the fake name of a fraudster since they don’t exist.

Thanks for the heads up Timothy. I smelt only a few rats here last few years but never took the bait. Namely big shots who wanted to get me off this site and email them privately. To be taken with a pinch of salt, if we put ourselves on the web it’s part of the risk but I detest people trying to con me in my own home face to face. The more personal, the more it hurts.

As professional dreamers (or in my case trying to be professional) we all dream of someone suddenly showing up with our "rich and famous contract" Its not impossible for it to happen either but we all have the responsibility to keep our feet on the floor. I don't think anyone legit would be insulted by a request for references and of course there's the firm rule GET EVERYTHING LEGAL IN WRITING.
