I have found so many priceless connections here on Stage 32, so I finally decided to join in on the introduce yourself weekend. My name is Sara and I'm currently living in TX, although I spent the last 25 years in CA and was born in MI. I grew up country and never thought I would have the career as an author that I do now.
My current career path began when I was in college for business. My teachers told me I write to "flowery," so I started writing a novel to release my creativity. I published my first novel, Day After Disaster, in 2014. Readers loved it, so I started writing more. The collection of series novels became The Changing Earth Series.
When I write fiction, I try to educate my readers as I go. The dystopian world I created is based on rapid climate change and gave me the perfect opportunity to share my knowledge of urban and wilderness survival. In 2015, I created The Changing Earth Podcast where I share a chapter from the book, and then we take a topic from the chapter and explore the practicalities of that topic in real life.
It has been an incredible journey and I have been blessed to meet so many fantastically inspirational and educational people along the way. My journey here on Stage 32 has been no different. This site has allowed me to learn how to package my IP for its next step as a Television Drama. Stage 32 has provided the opportunity to meet an incredible lineup of outstanding individuals that are happy to help polish my work and hopefully, join me on the journey forward.
Thanks to everyone at Stage 32 for all the work you put into us as creatives! This is truly an outstanding platform, making a community out of budding artists.
