Introduce Yourself : Howdy from Wassilla, Alaska by William Frank Georgi

William Frank Georgi

Howdy from Wassilla, Alaska

Howdy from the last frontier (at least that what the license plates say...) Screenwriter who plans to make some of his screenplays into feature movies. I've written over 2 dozen screenplays, took a pause after the death of my late wife...about to resume serious writing. We have magnificent mountains, rivers filled with fish and some with gold, glaciers, wildlife, and characters...perfect to inspire writers. Would like to set up an Alaska Writers' group (perhaps via internet.), if I can not find one to join.

Great to see you again, William Frank Georgi! We've been talking a lot about mental health in the industry, and certainly around Stage 32, so it's totally understandable that you would need the break to greive the loss of your wife. I'm so sorry for your loss.

You can absolutely set up an Alaska Writers' Group! I would suggest picking a day, posting it in the meet-ups section of Stage 32 (https://www.stage32.com/meetups), and then start searching members based on location (https://www.stage32.com/people) to make sure they get the invite! Keep at it, and keep us posted on your progress!

Hello from the second largest state, Texas! I would love to pop up to Alaska and adventure around the mountains and glaciers! First of all, I am terribly sorry to hear about the passing of your wife William Frank Georgi, sending lots of love and good vibes to you and your family.

As far as starting an Alaskan writers group, I love that! You can search for Alaska-based writers right her on Stage 32. Here is the search for Anchorage screenwriters https://www.stage32.com/people?name=&location=Anchorage%2C+Alaska&roles=...

We also have an unparalleled writers' group right here on Stage 32 called the Writers' Room - email Jason at j.mirch@stage32.com for a free month https://www.stage32.com/plan

Hey William, I live in Eagle River! I'm a novelist and screenwriter, but have been mostly focusing on building my novels backlist. My wildland fire series set in Alaska is doing well and readers want to see it in a series or a feature film. So I established that goal along with all the rest. Maybe we can talk sometime (if this rain deluge ever stops LOL)
