Hi Stage32 community, I am remiss in not introducing myself earlier. I have really enjoyed the education and reading the comments of this very genuine creative community. My current project is a murder mystery set in Hawaii. I have just completed my 8th screenplay and submitted it to a Stage32 contest. This was an adaptation of a self-published novel we have the IP for. I love the creative process and am trying to find my own signature "voice" in my writing. I came across the love of screenwriting by taking some UCLA extension classes in advanced screenwriting several years/scripts ago. My goal is to actually take my writing to the next level.
I am sincerely grateful that this platform exists. Over the past 10 months during this pandemic, I have visited the site many times to enjoy on-demand videos in the vault. There is an overwhelming amount of information. Today, I realized that the only way to actually go further is not by just writing, but also by networking. So here I am, it is time to say hello...
Welcome! Murder Mysteries are fun! Hope to hear more about it as you progress.
Catherine O. Morris that's wonderful! I know, I have now viewed two of the 150+ videos in the Vault (for anyone not signed up yet this is an amazing component of the "Writers' Room" here on Stage 32!), so there is years worth of amazing content there;
Great to hear that you are so prolific, that is really inspiring!
Hey Catherine O. Morris! I am so happy you finally jumped in and introduced yourself! If you shoot in Hawaii, I get to come! Haha. I am excited that you also took the leap and submitted to the Stage 32 contest. I will keep an eye out for you and wish you the best of luck! As always, feel free to reach out to me at j.mirch@stage32.com with anything!
