Greetings from Seattle. I"m retired from the US Air Force, having spent 24 years, primarily as a photojournalist (and in the closet for my whole career). My first novel, RANK, was published a couple of years ago, and now I have happily dived into the screenwriting business. I write contemporary stories about middle-aged gay men bewildered by their lives, cautiously coming out and wondering how to navigate the 21st century. I write the kind of movies I'd like to see onscreen.
Hi Richard. Coming out later in life has its own issues to navigate, for sure. Middle aged gay men bewildered by life... where are you going with that?
Grey Forge, thanks for your note. I aim for small victories for my central characters, and happy or at least hopeful endings. There's usually love or at least companionship in store, too. I write drama leavened with humor -- I'm told I'm quite strong at developing memorable characters and dialogue. All the best to you.
Thanks, Meg! Good luck ... will try to stop by the lounge!
