US Air Force retired, 24 years, lieutenant colonel. Combat vet -- including Afghanistan and Iraq. Primarily served as a photojournalist -- but always in the closet, thanks to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

Bachelor's and master's degrees in creative writing (fiction) and a PhD in fine arts.

My first novel was published a few years back: RANK, a same-sex military love story. In 2017, I completed the screenwriting certificate program at the University of Washington, and since then, that's been my focus.

I'm recently widowed; my spouse Wayne Comer was my greatest cheerleader, offering endless encouragement and support of my writing career.
