Just reintroducing myself on here. Hope everyone's doing okay in these strange times in which we find ourselves these days.
I have a number of projects at the moment and am always interested in people that might consider adaptations of my books for film and TV. I've been working on screenplays and the first episode for the Shadowzone series, which you can learn more about at https://www.simon-rose.com. I then hope to create scripts for adaptions of my paranormal Flashback series as well.
I've written and published fifteen novels, more than a hundred nonfiction books, eight guides for writers, and hundreds of articles. I served as the Writer-in-Residence for the Canadian Authors Association and am a member of the Calgary Association of Freelance Editors. I’ve provided substantive and copy editing services for many other writers over the years. This has been for novels, short stories, fiction, nonfiction, biographies, inspirational books and many other genres. You can view details of some of the projects that I’ve worked on at http://www.simon-rose.com, along with some of the references and recommendations regarding my coaching and editing work.

Nice to meet you, Simon. I checked out your site. You wrote a lot of books. I like the book covers for "Flashback," "Twisted Fate," and "Parallel Destiny."

Thanks, Maurice. Some are definitely suited to screen adaptations, probably TV series. Keep trying to get someone interested :)

You're welcome. I can see "Flashback" and the other two books as movies/a TV series.

Thank you. Those and the Shadowzone books I think are the best prospects. Writing a few more novels in the paranormal genre with the Flashback characters right now but they're in the early stages. Hopefully someone will notice them one day :)

Hi Simon Rose. Congratulations on the novels. I love paranormal stuff and wrote a few pilots that centered around the paranormal. Best of luck with your projects. :)

Thank you. I've made a start on some more paranormal ones with the same characters, probably another three novels eventually.

Simon Rose nice. We have several novelists in our Stage32 Writer's Room. One of them (Stephen Potts) has successfully optioned and had filmed several of his pieces. He'd be a great connection for you.

Yes, it sounds like it. How do I join the room and possible then we can connect?

Simon Rose inbox me and I can send you the link for a free month, or reach out to the Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch at: j.mirch@stage32.com
He loves to hear from creatives and has helped me enormously in my journey. The Writer's Room is a group of dedicated and serious writers, so you should find it beneficial. Of course, let me know if I can help in any other way as well.

Simon, this is INCREDIBLE stuff! That you've written all that you've written is beyond impressive, and I'm sure that you know that there's an increasingly large demand for IP in the industry, so your adaptation efforts are incredibly smart, as well.
So happy to e-meet you!
Nice to virtually meet you too. Yes, I'm aware of the increasing demand for IP but getting anyone to pay any attention at all has been very much of a challenge, to say the least. Not even a glimmer of interest since I've been on here.

I definitely know how tough it can be, Simon. I'm going to echo what Chaun said above and DEFINITELY encourage you to reach out to Jason at j.mirch@stage32.com, I know that he'll have some great ideas for you.
Thanks, Angela. As I mentioned to Chaun, I get emails every day from Jason Mirch. These are usually very interesting but are often selling workshops, webinars, or access to some kind of class, so I'm not sure what to make of it really..
Certainly! Those emails are referencing just some of the great things that we offer on the site between our Script Services and Educational divisions. I'm SO happy to share some insight on any and all of those things, but I know that Jason and I would be thrilled to chat with you about so many more opportunities on the site beyond that. Really & truly, email him or myself (writerhelp@stage32.com) anytime :)
Thank you. No budget for that I'm afraid.
