Hi y’all! I'm Dina, a screenwriter, director, indie filmmaker and photographer. I've kept pretty quiet on here, but figured I'd chime in for once.
I have been a writer since I was seven and started screenwriting in 2010. I mostly write original tv pilot scripts for half hour comedy series, hour-long drama series and have 2 unscripted reality shows my manager is pitching. I just pitched my half hour comedy series “Being Joan” to OUTtv weeks ago and I'm waiting for their feedback from requesting my script. I love focusing on the hard stories to tell that need to be told, especially surrounding my LGBTQ+ community and creating characters embodying diversity. I am excited to be here because I have had the most success through using Stage 32 versus all the competitions I have entered. I am grateful I found some determination and vulnerability to start sharing my writing. Thank you for this wonderful community of fellow creatives.
