Hi everyone and hope you're having a great weekend.
I'm Leya from Slovenia and I've been on Stage32 for some time now and actually joined after my partner did with whom we have a production company.
Well I'm a cinematographer, editor, colorist, photographer but my first passion is sculpting.
I started working with film when my partner got me interested after he got into filmmaking and it kind of took of from there.
Anyway lately we've been working on some commercial work and we talked how much we both enjoy making films. The work is good on commercials but films are a complete different field of creativity.
I've met some really cool people on Stage32 and actually at the beginning of this year met a really cool guy, Branden Garrett who's actually from Slovenia as well and we were lucky enough to work on a really short project together before he went back to LA and is actually still there.
We shot a short recreation of a scene and played around to make it look and feel 70s like.
Well my partner Vital Butinar and Branden talk a lot about the film industry and how difficult is it to "make it" in the industry.
All this actually got me thinking what else and how much more could we be doing to do more cool projects. Unfortunately in Slovenia there's not much of a film industry so the goal was always to try ourselves somewhere else and we're doing projects, also have projects that would work great on foreign markets but it seems it's very tough getting there, even though it's a lot easier these days.
So I wanted to says hi to everyone and catch up on what you guys are doing these days, so drop me a line.

I love psychological thrillers. They are at the top of my list. I will share this blog in Twitter, too. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Thank you Debbie Elicksen !
Richard I agree. I love thrillers also!
I really hope that my partner is able to secure funding for The Digits soon and that we're able to make it. I was along with the whole development of the script and it really is a great story and what I love most is the twists that you don't expect.
We help filmmakers acquire funding from Private angels, and also direct funding providers in the USA only for Projects of $50k-$400k. Description in my bio.
