Introduce Yourself : Screenwriter and sometimes actor by Robert Cox

Robert Cox

Screenwriter and sometimes actor

Hello to Stage 32. I have been a member for quite a while, but this is the first time that I have been on the Lounge. First, a little about myself. I have successfully written in various literary genres since my teenage years, notably in scientific journals and business publications, as well as plays, opera librettos, song lyrics and short stories. I have been writing screenplays for about eight years now, and have about 30 scripts written, full length, shorts, and pilots. A few of my scripts (shorts and TV episodes) have been filmed. I also have, since 2017, won or placed in 475 film festivals and screenplay contests, with more than a third being award winners. I write in many genres; Comedy, Drama, Romantic Comedy, Faith-based, LGBTQ, Sci-Fi, Fantasy and even Westerns.

Along with writing screenplays, I have also mentored writers, edited scripts and other forms of written communication, such as short stories, poetry, and even Blog Posts. I have also been called upon to judge film and screenplay submissions for Film Festivals, spoken at various Festivals, and taught sessions on screenwriting at various workshops.

If you are looking for a script to film or need help turning your story into a script, let me know.
