Hello Stage 32 community!
Very happy to share with everyone that my short script, "The Land", placed as a quarterfinalist in 2021-2022 Chicago Screenplay Awards! Every success we get solidifies the belief that we as creatives are on the right path, and made the right decision to pursue our passion!
I wish everyone of you continued success and the most support I can in your endeavors! Peace & progress!

Congratulations to you! I'm excited to read about other writers who've advanced in that contest. I just found out that my short drama script "Echoes of Broken Promises" was a Finalist in the Chicago Screenplay Awards. These little "wins" add up and help keep us energized. I hope 2022 brings you even more of these "wins."

Hi Maurice, we might have discussed the short horror script. The logline reads...
A fifteenth century exploration party, who seek answers to the disappearance of a colony in the Americas, learns the consequences of trespassing where they don't belong.

The script sounds interesting, John Mezes. You must've done a lot of research to write about the fifteenth century.

Yes, some, absolutely. It's my version of what happened to the lost colony of Roanoke, in a horror setting.

Congratulations John Mezes! That logline/story sounds intriguing! I know how difficult writing a period piece can be. I recently was notified too that my feature period piece "The Human Parrot" was a semifinalist in the Chicago Screenplay Awards. Congratulations on being a finalist Andrea Zastrow! You guys are crushing it!!!

You're crushing it too, Gerard! Semifinalist, very good, sir! It's nice to see how some of us gravitated to the same competition, LOL, comforting.
