Hi! I just wanted share a bit with everyone about my recent experience with Stage 32’s Executive Development Notes 2-page coverage service. I liked the idea that I could choose a working, experienced executive to cover my work rather than just some anonymous “reader” that may or may not understand my genre, the current market, etc. I chose Ariane Ackerberg, one of Stage 32’s newer cooperating execs, to read my script SANDI CLAUS specifically because 4-quadrant family films is one of the genres that she’s looking for.
What I got back—very promptly—was beyond anything that I could have hoped for. A cool new logline to try out, an “X meets Y” comp comparison that I’d never thought of and was spot on for the script, a comment about how much she enjoyed the story, a total breakdown of various areas that included insights that no one had ever pointed out to me before, specific marketing suggestions that even included a way that whoever might market the finished product could really create buzz for it. Never seen anything like that in a coverage report before.
And then, of course, was the “bottom line,” the Pass/Consider/Recommend ratings for Writer and Script. Let’s just say that when I saw mine, my eyes nearly popped out of my head. And, as if to validate that “Recommend” for the script, it’s now a SemiFinalist in Stage 32’s Family-Friendly contest, and Coverfly just emailed me today that it’s on two of their Red Lists too!
If you’re needing coverage, check out the Executive Development Notes option for yourself. For me, it was far more helpful and valuable to receive it from a hand-picked, working industry executive than any generic “industry coverage” I’ve ever received.
Thanks Lee Tidball! This is fantastic! I am so glad that you've found the coverage so helpful and it led to a major success. Ariane is phenomenal and she really cares about moving projects forward. She is also perfect for Family-Friendly scripts. So glad that you experienced such success!
That's awesome. Thanks so much for the recommendation!
