About Rebecca

Rebecca James, I am a mature musical theatre (book and lyrics) and screen writer for over twenty years. I have completed over seven features, a couple of TVS pilots and two musical book and lyrics. I have been on the leading edge with my work: predicting wars, social changes, climate issues, technology advancements, new writing styles and more, years ahead of time.

I studied writing and producing at QPIX (Qld) where I worked on three short films and won the Kodak TVS Award for Best Script. I also studied Directing at Nida (Short Course). I always planned to enter the market at the top and I have spent years in solitude, perfecting my craft. All works are original and unique and include a minimum of 5 'never before seen', trailer moments.

Prior to writing, I was a global solo backpacker, an international marketer of hospitals and power tools then a real estate entrepreneur. I am a qualified graphic designer and have taught mindfulness meditation. I am a gifted intuitive and visionary. I see life as an adventure and I am always exploring new territories, whether within or without.

Ideally, I would set up pipelines with great people who expect high concept new works and allow me to trust what comes and deliver. I am capable of delivering 3-4 spec scripts a year. I am also able to customize works for actors and I know which key creatives are an energetic match to my work. My joy is being in the leading edge of thought... I can feel when I am on the wave and there is nothing more thrilling. If I can get paid well to play, then I am living my dream.

I love people and sharing stories. I focus my time and energy on writing, hiking, horse riding, cultural travel, skiing, time with family or going within.

All my stories are designed to uplift and inspire. I intend to donate a portion of my earnings, to any relevant charitable groups associated with my projects.
