Introduce Yourself : Zukile Mozent Mangwana by Zukile Mangwana

Zukile Mangwana

Zukile Mozent Mangwana

I am a talented, creative & inexperience film maker with a vision to connect all professional film maker to change the poverty stricken society in Africa. I started in 2007 with Amref non Profit organisation, when I was tasked to develop a mid term review documentary that will profile work done by Amref to community based health system that they supported.

For the past two decades, I mentored young people to tell their stories in a form of a movie but unfortunately due to no resources to produce quality content, we couldn't tell our stories. Our local independent broadcasters do a little to develop film making and the government also do a little to support film making and some government officials are funding their families to make them film makers that are so talentless to the cure.

My story today is, I have aborted stories of Africa to tell the world that intruding and educating, from fiction to romance and they are based on true stories of life.

I am so happy to be in this platform and network with wonderful people like you so that I can be exposed to crown funding and film making opportunities and thank you to Amanda Toney for emails contain a lot of opportunities. Amanda, I am not ignoring guide to success with stage 32, No funds or means to subscribe and grow and hope I will get an opportunity to access funding thru our foundation, I'm Africa Foundation so that we get resources to tell our stories and expose aAfrica Corruption, a serious Pandemic that kills the Art and Entertainment industry in our South African Continent.

Peace

Karen "Kay" Ross

Good to meet you, Zukile Mangwana, and welcome to the community! Oh, wow - congrats on mentoring young filmmakers, that's awesome! I used to teach film & TV production to teenagers myself and I can attest to how rewarding it is, and the very real struggle of funding.

Have you checked out the Financing Lounge? I think you'll enjoy participating in the conversations there, and of course, I'd love for you to start a post of your own! Maybe you could share a little about how you like to work and what kind of projects inspire you? https://www.stage32.com/lounge/fundraising

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my blog post on how to get the most out of the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect!
