I would like to attend this fall's AFF. Any advice of finding reasonable accommodations close to the hotel would be greatly appreciated. Info on B & Bs nearby would be cool as well.

Best bet is probably a room on AIRBNB nearby, then take a Lyft/Uber to the venue daily.

You got 8 months to find a writer-roommate to share hotel cost. Personally I would stay as close as possible, walk to the bar and back than drive :)

In 2021 the place was packed and it was almost impossible to find a room! Largely that was because of an F1 race and a college football game the same weekend. But there are a lot of great spots. Use the Driskill as your epicenter and then work outward from there.

Bring ear plugs. The driskoll bar becomes so loud it will hurt your ears. And maybe some honey for your throat because youve gotta be yelling just to talk to people the entire night and everyone loses their voice the first night.
