Cartoon Cartoons

I may be dating myself but my Saturday mornings always began with the Hanna Barbera Super Friends. I couldn't wait to see what group of heroes (different sets each week) would come together to take on the villain of the week. Add a large bowl of sugar-packed cereal. Chef's kiss.

What was your favorite cartoon and why?

Bob Harper

The Bugs Bunny and Road Runner show was a never miss for us. But they cheated since those were reruns of classic theatrical shorts. I also was glued to Fat Albert!

MB Stevens

Bob Harper I loved me some Bugs Bunny. "What's up doc?"

Maurice Vaughan

I'm not sure which was my favorite cartoon. "Tiny Toon Adventures," "Sonic the Hedgehog," "Hey Arnold!" etc.

MB Stevens

Maurice Vaughan I forgot about Tiny Toon Adventures. Babs and Bugs are an awesome duo.

Elaine Haygood

I always hate these questions as I find it hard to pick just one.

However, the original Spideman cartoon series was a fave as it featured slick, Jazz music in the background.

I also REALLY loved The Beatles' cartoon series, The Archies and of course, Josie and The Pussy Cats.

Maurice Vaughan

I liked the mini-sized "Tiny Toon Adventures" characters, MB Stevens. It's been so long I can't remember why "Tiny Toon Adventures," "Sonic the Hedgehog," "Hey Arnold!" and other shows were my favorite cartoons.

MB Stevens

Elaine Haygood all great choices. I watched Spiderman and his amazing friends last night.

Maurice Vaughan

"Captain Planet"

MB Stevens

Maurice Vaughan "I want you to save out planet." Captain Planet was speaking facts.

Maurice Vaughan

It was, MB Stevens. It had one of my favorite theme songs.

J. Maverick McWilliams

Voltron, Defender of the Universe: A mighty robot loved by good, feared by evil.

MB Stevens

J. Maverick McWilliams Voltron was awesome. The cats! What did you think about the reboot?

Daniel Stuelpnagel

Speed Racer, The Flintstones and Scooby-Doo!

MB Stevens

Daniel Stuelpnagel All great toons. Now you got the Speed Racer song in my head.

Karen "Kay" Ross

All-time favorite - which I discovered as an adult - Avater: The Last Airbender. I remembered watching the '90s Disney shows fondly - Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, and Tale Spin in particular.

Terence Daniels

Robotech, New Adventures of Mighty Mouse...

MB Stevens

Me too, Kay. Avatar is a great cartoon. Loved the spin-off Legend of Korra too.

MB Stevens

Hey, Terence. Man, I straight forgot about Robotech. I'd watch it as soon as I got home from school. The memories.

Vincent Turner

Dragonball Z and after

J. Maverick McWilliams

Robotech was amazing! It was the first animated, sci-fi soap opera I experienced.

Terence Daniels

Yeah had it recording on the VHS so i could watch. I had to ride my bike home to see the last part of it when it first aired b/c the busses made so many stops. There was a whole block on weekdays when they aired Voltron, Transformers, then Robotech. So have you seen Do You Remember Love? OC Right?

Maurice Vaughan

Does anyone remember Snick?

Terrence Sellers

Saturday mornings were Dragon Ball Z, but before school I used to love Mighty Max, which no one remembers. And after school was Reboot.

Maurice Vaughan

What's "After," Vincent?

Vincent Turner

Super*

Martin Reese

It was Jonny Quest on Saturday mornings along with a plethora of others like Space Ghost and the Herculoids. Yes I'm old. LOL!
