Hello and happy Friday to you! I hope everyone enjoys a blessed, peaceful holiday weekend.
I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm Patricia Batson, the creative director of Avalon Agency Chicago. My background is in advertising, TV,, film and radio. I was also an arts and entertainment writer for Yahoo.com and other online and print publications..
This summer, I will be working on a film set and going back to Los Angeles, where I used to live for a couple of years. I'm excited about this opportunity and very happy to meet you! Cheers ❤️

I didn't know that Chicago has Palm Trees or that the Paramount Gate was there - I guess I need to get out more. Welcome to the flock..

LoL @doug Nelson. Hi there! No but I wish. That's to symbolize my return to Los Angeles this summer. However Chicago sure has gorgeous lake Michigan and deep dish pizza! Yummy
That's the view from my condo's backyard, dawn breaking from beautiful Lake Michigan. Lovely city ❤️

Good morning and I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! The absolute highlight of living in Los Angeles was working on the set of Glee at Paramount Studios. What a fun experience and having the infamous Hollywood sign to look at every time, was pure bliss ❤️ Can't wait to go back this summer!

@maurice. Magical! Hands down, the most enjoyable, professional and well run shows I had the pleasure to work on. The hours were ridiculously long, sometimes 18 plus hours, but they took great care of everyone and it was mostly positive working environment. Jane Lynch was the best, too! Such a sweet, warm, funny lady ❤️
@molly hello Molly and thank you!

Jane is funny. :) If 18 plus hours is long, what's the average number of hours on a TV set?

@maurice - it varies but Glee was unusually long hours every time. The shortest was Grey's Anatomy where they only used background actors 6 to 8 hours, sometimes only a few! Average I would say is 12.

Hi everyone, it's wonderful to meet you! ❤️
Ok, thanks for letting me know, Patricia. I'm a screenwriter, but it's useful to know the production side of the business.
