For those of you who have not heard of it, THE OFFER is about the making of the classic movie THE GODFATHER. It’s a must see for fans of the movie. It gives interesting information about the behind-the-scenes issues in the making of the film.
But if you are a screenwriter, or involved in filmmaking in any way, you must see this show. It documents the bumps in the road to making a movie.
I’ve seen screenwriting friends experience bumps in the road and become discouraged. They think that there is something wrong with them and/or their projects because there are problems along the way. They have self-doubt.
But the truth is, filmmaking is a VERY bumpy road. Problems can and do occur in the normal course of business.
If you don’t recognize this truth, you may experience self-doubt, and self-doubt is extremely painful.
But if you do recognize this truth, you may get aggravated by the bumps, but you will see just how fabulous you are as you navigate yourself down the bumpy road and find fabulous success.
Every person I know who worked/works in show business have been fired, quit, failed multiple times in their careers.
I'm waiting for the final episode to come out soI binge it. Can't wait!
Thanks for sharing Claire! I'll keep an eye open for it.

I'm a sucker for trivia, musta read about thousands of articles on various movies getting made (or not).
But having a pleasure working with some of the finest Macedonian (and some intern) directors and actors, hearing their "war" stories first hand....I don't think there's filmmaker ludacris enough to put that on a paper /film by just inventing it...a freaking roller coaster lives...
