I’m in the process of moving to LA in an effort to broaden my writing experience and was wondering if any Californians could offer some helpful insights and advice?
Hi and welcome! You don't really need to move to LA to broaden your writing. What are you looking to accomplish exactly? Maybe take some writing courses. Send out spec scripts. Maybe find as job as a PA just to get your foot in the door. This will give you an opportunity to talk with writers and read scripts as well as make connections. If your goal is to work in the entertainment industry, I'd suggest not living any more than 10-15 minutes away from the studios. Hope this helps and good luck with the move!

You're welcome, Decedric Williams. Administration Coordinator. Cool.
You can check the Screenwriting Lounge. There might be some Californians there who can give you insights and advice about living in LA.
