How about a fake starship troopers trailer or even Johnny 5 - you could have a very macabre version of the events of the films
This sounds fun - what kind of animation is it? - I just came across ClayCat's The Thing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG33zECv8dc) and The Raid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_z3EBalwI4). Tomb raider/Pyramids/Mummies also offer a lot of potential in the way of horror and/or horror satire.
