Any advice is greatly appreciated:
When sending a query pitching your screenplay, do you
a) let the executive you’re pitching to know that you also have a pitch deck available?
or
b) just send the pitch deck along with the script if they request your script?

Enza Fangio I let the executive (or producer, director, etc.) know that I have a pitch deck available. I don't send anything unless the person asks for it. Some people will get upset if you send something they didn't ask for.

You're welcome, Enza Fangio. Glad to help. Hope the exec loves your script and buys it (then makes it)!

Enza Fangio Heather Ostrove said in another post: "Also, when you do approach a rep, do NOT email them your script or pitch deck unless they ask. They won't open the email b/c it can cause legal trouble for them if they produce a similar project." https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting/Introduction-to-the-Screenwriting-Industry
She's talking about emailing an agent or manager, but the same thing goes for emailing an executive, producer, director, etc. Though I'd share what Heather said with you.

Enza Fangio I always let executives know I have a series bible and most times the executives have been requesting the bible rather than the script! Question did you create a pitch deck or a series bible? Have you had someone critique it for you before you send it out? It is important before sending to have someone proofread or critique it as you only get one chance to impress them so make sure it is up to industry standard! Best of Luck!

Kacee,
Thank you! I'm currently working on the pitch decks for my completed screenplays. Definitely, I'll have someone proofread them when completed.

Maurice, thank you for sharing Heather Ostrove's post. With pitch decks being something new to me, I didn't know the correct protocol on when sending them out. I appreciate you!
