Introduce Yourself : I walked into an elevator and there was a guy there talking to the wall. by Lee Shargel

Lee Shargel

I walked into an elevator and there was a guy there talking to the wall.

OK, the guy was me. Just practicing my pitch and figured I would try it in an elevator. 0 to 8th floor in 30 seconds. I nailed it. Got the title perfect in 30 seconds. Ha Ha Ha. Just kidding., the elevator was crowded with people, and they have a tendency to call security about some nut talking to the wall. But STAGE 32 has the perfect place to practice and that's the WRITER'S ROOM. Give a visit, you'll be PITCH PERFECT before you know it. Hey news flash everyone. My BLOG will premiere this Monday I hope you all give it a read. Feel free to send me a note on what you think. I promise I take requests and always answer. Have a great Introduce Yourself weekend.

That's a great way to lead into a pitch, Lee Shargel. Talking to the wall. An industry person who gets on the elevator will look at you strange, then you can say, "Oh, I'm just practicing the pitch for my script," and the person might say, "What's it about?" :D

Lee Shargel

Thanks, Maurice.

Sam Sokolow

Thanks so much, Lee Shargel - its great to meet you here on IYW!

Lee Shargel

Same here, Sam. Great to meet you, too. I have taken advantage of the opportunities you have introduced me to. I have 2 pitch sessions scheduled for Monday. I feel confident I will get some great feedback from Conor and Sofia. I'll be sure to let everyone know.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Lee Shargel. Hope you, your family, and Cujo are enjoying the weekend. :D

Lee Shargel

Thanks, Maurice. We are just "chillin'."

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Lee Shargel. I can picture Cujo chilling. :D

Lee Shargel

WOOF!

Matthew Parvin

Beautiful!

Lee Shargel

Thanks so much Mathew. My next blog will be out next week. I think you will get a kick out of it.

Raneisha Marsdon

Hello Matthew, I love your sense of humor. If you are crazy, you are not alone. Talking to the wall is better than talking and laughing with yourself. Who does that? Me apparently.

Lee Shargel

Hell Raneisha, I'm not sure if you are writing to Mathew or to me but anyway, welcome to my STAGE 32 neighborhood. Feel free to join in and share your thoughts anytime. Lots of room in my elevator. "GOING UP!"

Lee Shargel

I meant to say HELLO, Raneisha,

Raneisha Marsdon

Sorry. I meant to say Hello Lee. Thank you.

Lee Shargel

You're welcome, Raneisha.

Lee Shargel

I don't think this is the place for these kinds of ads.

Maurice Vaughan

Stage 32 deleted the account, Lee Shargel.

Lee Shargel

Great! Thanks. Maurice. Hope you are doing well.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Lee Shargel. I'm doing great. How's your weekend going?

Lee Shargel

Hi Maurice. My weekend was nothing short of lazing on the sofa and watching movies. It's now Monday and back to work pounding the keys. Hope you had a great weekend.

Maurice Vaughan

My weekend was great, Lee Shargel. I worked on some projects, pitched a script, made some contacts in the industry, rested, and watched some movies. I was going to watch football yesterday, but I worked on some projects.
