Hello. I am writing my first screenplay. I am a true neophyte so I am stumbling quite a bit. I have a log line but am stuck trying to write a treatment. I gave up on Final Draft as it was stopping me from writing (stuck on the mechanics of it) so now I am just free flow writing. Would you be available for consultation and or helping write a treatment and or assisting/guiding me in finishing my script. If you are interested/available what would you charge me? Thanks in advance. Best to you in good health. Adele

Thanks for reaching out Phil. I need to work a bit more on my story line so I don't have a treatment yet. The ending can go in many different directions. Once I have more clarity I will certainly reach out. Most appreciated. Have a blessed and healthy day. Adele

Adele, u know who assists me with my current one? Koepp, Coen Bros and soon to be Mann - all for free :) but it's not my first and it's not a "cut-throat" deal...but if it were, I'd choose some swift no BS offers as the one above...

Hi Adele, I see your post is a few months old so you may have already solved your problem. I just wanted to say that I live close to you and if you need some help getting comfortable with Final Draft I'm happy to walk you through it. I'm totally not tech savvy either, so I totally get it. I wouldn't charge you.

Hi Adele
Everyone has their own way of writing, but there are always certain ground rules used to make the script effective and not boring. Three-act structure. Inciting incidents, what's at stake, the midpoint shocker etc.
I usually do a 60-point outline first. Each point is a scene. Just a couple of sentences describing the scene (maybe a few dialogues) I do this basically to see the flow, the structure, the plot, the beats, the set-up and the payoffs etc.
This usually works for me as I end up having a pretty good idea of the overall pace, length, and flow. It is much easier to start the screenplay after that. While writing you might add a few more scenes or characters to enhance the flow. But the structure and the plots usually remain the same.
Hope this helps :)
