I everybody, my name is Olivier and I am one of the winner of the previous shortfilm competition, one of my latest short also ended up finalist at the latest shortfilm competition.
A story I directed and did the screenplay for, a girl flick entirely in Chinese speaking language. If you are around in Santa Monica it just got selected for the 17th edition of the festival.
I am currently in Bangkok and used to live in Shanghai where I still have my production company and on my way to opening a new one here.
In my career I did work with many brands, from Disney, to recently Moncler for their 75 years aniversary, I am also doing brand partnerships such as ambassador, Xiaomi, Adobe, Fuji Film and recently with Zhiyun for naming some.
I originally come from illustration then animations films and slowly drifted to filmmaking and photography, my calling being storytelling and that’s why I am here; to make more connections and making my dream come true, doing bigger movies with talented people and creatives!
You can see some of my work on www.herodirector.tv or google my name as different things will pop up.
Quite inspired lately by Bangkok and currently doing some visual research for my sci-fi feature film project “The Passport” BKK would fit as location, both visually and costly effective.
Always happy to talk and connect!
Nice to e-meet you guys!!

Shellie Schmals https://www.herodirector.tv/press I put few of them here, Xiaomi and Fuji film + other things.
Regarding brand partnerships, It depends, some of them I testing the tech, so they gave me free technology, some sponsor content and we using their products in exchange, Adobe they give few creators a fee to create something unique (image attached) and promote creative cloud as a creative ambassador, been also judge for brands I am collaborating with as branding partnership (judging young artists filmmakers) there is so many shapes or forms for this.
I am not really big on social, but the bigger you get the more solicitation you will have.
Not sure it does answer your question.

Emily J Hello! And thank you! For the moment opening a new company in Thailand and it’s not as easy as it may sound. Then waiting for few projects to confirm, two commercial with one involving a Vietnamese celebrity, two MV in XR technology with a very famous Asian artist, 3 shorts in post production, two others on their festival round, and then developing two feature film scripts and universe using new technology. And as it’s not enough… need to reboot all my marketing since I am now out of China…
I probably miss more things but roughly this is really the on going stuffs. I put one of the artwork for a thriller I am working on.
The real challenge now, on top of relocating in Thailand, is to find the right partners to make those films happening (features).

Maurice Vaughan Just been doing some tests to visualize the “love interest” of the film. I put the “ since it’s a film about memory, the lead is not so sure if she really someone that He as be with in the past or if she is actually using him. A bit like in memento or total recall (Arnold’s version).
And honestly Bangkok is such a great backdrop! Shanghai was great for the short, but now it’s quite complicated and expensive to shoot in China.

Maurice Vaughan, yeah, not sure you saw the short but consider this shortfilm as a low-budget version of the final feature. The short's story is also roughly the first chapter of the full-length movie.
The storyline will evolve like a Russian doll; you are opening several dolls each time, thinking the last one is the final thing.
But as you open those "boxes," you always release a different angle of the story; the plot is constantly building up, with the audience always guessing what will happen next.
I definitely saw the short, Olivier Hero Dressen! "The Passport" is one of the best shorts I've seen. It sounds like you have an award-winning Mystery/Sci-Fi/Thriller on your hands! :D
