Introduce Yourself : I'm back. by Steven M. Cross

Steven M. Cross

I'm back.

I am a veteran here, but due to a battle with cancer, I've been pretty much gone for the past four months. I do hope to get back into the middle of it all. Currently, I am writing a Christmas script, a modern version of A Christmas Carol with my Scrooge being an elderly woman. I'm nearly finished with an incredibly rough first draft.

Welcome back, Steven M. Cross. :) A modern version of "A Christmas Carol" with an elderly woman as Scrooge sounds fresh and exciting!

Steven M. Cross Hi Steven, great to see you back on Stage32. I’m sorry to hear about the cancer. Are you officially in remission? And a Christmas script. That’s good marketing, right there. I wish you every success as you hone the story into an incredible draft.

Steven M. Cross

Geoff Hall, Not yet in remission but treatments seem to be working. I have one more chemotherapy and some final preventative measures after the first of the year. This script is the first thing I've written since last August.

Maurice Vaughan

Glad the treatments are working, Steven M. Cross! :D

David Pirinelli

Scrooge as an old bitter woman sounds awesome. Keep getting better!

Wendy Appelbaum

Hope you are feeling better. Congrats on the first draft - that's awesome.

Geoff Hall

Steven M. Cross it must be difficult to focus on other stuff, beyond your treatments and how they’re going. I appreciate you sharing on the IYW during your present situation. I will be sending you good vibes to get you in remission. Keep the community posted on developments. Take care.

Steven M. Cross My hope for you is that cancer is beaten down with an ugly stick and you rise with sword in hand on top of a mountain of conquered obstacles and shout, "I HAVE THE POWER!!!!" May you be blessed more than you can handle! Honored to meet you.
