Animation : An american band by David Shecter

David Shecter

An american band

Hey all - first time in the lounge- wanted to share a scene from an animation pilot I wrote and animated

Maurice Vaughan

Welcome to the community, David Shecter. That was a funny scene! :D I didn't expect the dark humor going into it. Are you going to pitch the show or make it yourself (since you animated a scene from the pilot)?

David Shecter

Hey Maurice Vaughan - Thanks for watching. I'm still figuring that out- would be fun to pitch it tho. I also cut this scene down from an 11 min full pilot. So there's that too.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, David Shecter. Stage 32 has executives, producers, etc. you can pitch your show to (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions).

Shellie Schmals

Hi David - so nice to meet you! Welcome to Stage 32! What a fun vignette, I could also see this working well within a variety show/sketch format. Remember how the Simpsons started on Tracy Ullman? Are the characters meant to stay in the American Revolution or do they time travel?

David Shecter

Hey Shellie! As of now it was sort of an adult swim 11 min format- I made a whole pilot 11 min pilot- this is just a scene trimmed down- I think if it was a series they would stay in the revolutionary time - but who knows a time traveling band could be fun as well.
