Film Treatment

Hi Everyone!

I'm completing a film treatment and I was wondering, who is the best person to read this if I am someone who doesn't have representation?

Just curious

Sam Sokolow

Hi Adriana - I suggest email the Stage 32 Success Team. They can recommend a he best people for coverage or feedback. Here’s their email: success@stage32.com Good luck with your project!

Adriana Rivera

Thank you so much Sam!!! They should be seeing it next week.

Danny Manus

No one. youre going to have to write the script. but if u want your treatment reviewed and fleshed out to make sure its a strong story to go write, im happy to help over at No BullScript. But realistically, no one buys treatments especially not from new writers.

Hey Adriana! If you're interested in talking to someone in the industry and getting feedback about what to do after writing a treatment, steps to take to getting representation, etc., check out a Career Development Call: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=6

If you don't have any writing experience, it may be too early for that but if you have written some scripts it could be a help.

Hey Adriana Rivera! You should also check out the Writers' Room - I do the Coverage Report (along with Dustin, Kay, and Lit - who founded it) and we read different scripts from members and give each other feedback, but we're opening it up to treatments and summaries soon! https://www.stage32.com/writers-room?affid=ejlounge

Treatment is not something you show around, unless working for hire...even then it's directors/producers eyes only. Write a script or two, have it as your calling card.

Adriana Rivera

Thanks everyone for feedback. I'm working on the script just wanted to have a film treatment to give an idea on how the script will go.

Hi! It kinda sounds like what you're wanting to do is create a show bible. This is where you write out ideas for the whole series. Or you can create an outline which is where you write out each detail so you know whether you end up having a great idea or if you should try something else
