When I post my music to social media, I spend a long time searching for, and editing stock footage that I think fits the mood, emotion and aesthetic of the score. Is this helpful, or would (as directors) you prefer to have a less distracting visual so you can better imagine if the music with YOUR visuals?

I think it can be very stimulating to see and hear, even if it isn't the visual I might use, it can help illlustrate what that music would be good for. I am guessing you would also have the music track on your website without visuals, for people to listen to only? (And of course, we only have to close our eyes if the visuals are distracting! :) )
